How do we age? How does the way we live, eat and drink get recorded at the very basic levels in our bodies? What degradative changes that occur during life continue after death and impact the fossil record? How do these changes determine our interpretations in the fossil record?
I alternate between the living and the dead to answer these questions in order to improve and extend the methods employed in research, our understanding of past human life ways, and molecular preservation in the fossil record.
