Kurt received his PhD from the University at Buffalo in 2025 where he studied Holocene climate-driven changes in Arctic vegetation communities and permafrost thaw using stable isotopes and lipid biomarkers. He then worked as an Instructional Support Technician for the University at Buffalo Department of Earth Sciences where he handled logistics and materials for multiple research facilities and courses in the department. He is excited to apply his research and work experience towards supporting the research projects and instrumentation in the Uno Terrestrial Paleoecology Lab!
