I am broadly interested in the evolution of primate social cognition. More specifically, I am fascinated by the evolution of social influence on attention and preferences, long-term social memory, and language comprehension. I use eye-tracking methods with chimpanzees and bonobos living in zoos around the world in order to probe their social cognition and hypothesize about the selective pressures that have led to humans’ robust socio-cognitive abilities.
