I am interested in the evolution of primate social behaviour. Specifically, I am interested in understanding the evolutionary pressures that have shaped highly flexible intergroup behaviour in humans. For my PhD project, I use wild bonobos as a comparative model and combine behavioural and endocrinological data to explore potential physiological mechanisms underlying different behavioural strategies males and females adopt during intergroup encounters.
