Daniel’s research develops tools by which teeth can be turned into diagnostic indicators of environment, climate, and childhood exposure to pollutants in contemporary and ancient populations.  Additionally, he has had the opportunity to conduct field research with the National Museums of Kenya, the Turkana Basin Institute, and the West Turkana Archaeological Project on both the east and west shores of Lake Turkana. This spring, he will be teaching a graduate course in Human Evolution and Human Health.
