Laura is a postdoctoral fellow in Rachel Carmody’s Nutritional and Microbial Ecology Lab. She studies how the gut microbiome affects host energy balance, how these host-microbial interactions shape energy allocation strategy across developmental and evolutionary timescales, and their implications for modern human health.
